British gas prices fell on Friday as mild temperatures dampened demand and as a steady stream of scheduled liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanker arrivals weighed on sentiment.

Traders said a combination of mild weather in Britain and across Europe weighed on demand, while an expected influx of LNG tankers boosted supplies.

Nick Campbell, Risk Manager at Inspired Energy gives his views; “The return of the milder temperatures in UK combined with continued warmer temperatures on the continent and frequent LNG deliveries has continued to weigh on the UK spot and prompt prices”
