Inspired Energy acquire Irish firm Horizon Energy Group in £9m deal

Inspired Energy is excited to announce the acquisition of Irish counterpart Horizon Energy Group in a £9m deal. Horizon is based in Cork and serves a customer base that spans major corporates, SMEs and public sector bodies.
Managing Director Janet Thornton said of the acquisition: “Inspired continues to look to deliver on its growth strategy and Horizon provides an opportunity to drive growth from Inspired’s platform as it is an established business in a relatively untapped market.
“It will bring high earnings visibility, supported by a strong procurement corporate order book, and Horizon’s sales teams will benefit from the cross-selling opportunities with access to Inspired’s broader capabilities, ultimately benefitting clients”.
Horizon currently has 34 employees who will become part of the wider Inspired Energy team, with the management team set to remain with the business.
