BBC Radio 4: Interview with Inspired PLC

Inspired PLC Chief Executive Officer Mark Dickinson was interviewed by Sean Farrington on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme this morning, 15th September. 

Following the news yesterday that Government support for businesses struggling with energy bills may not arrive until November, Mark said:

“Everyone is affected by the uncertainty. I think the key thing at the moment is everyone is waiting for details on the (Energy Price Guarantee) Scheme and that’s the right thing to do.

When asked what UK businesses need to do to have the confidence to grow during this period of uncertainty, Mark advises:

“The most important thing that businesses need to do is start planning now for after the (Energy Price Guarantee) Scheme ends, as ultimately it will not last forever.

…start to focus on how you can reduce energy, how you can get contracts which have rates that have different prices at different times of the day — actions you can take to optimise your business and reduce energy costs by things that are under your control”.
