A day in the life

I am a procurement project co-ordinator in the Procurement Team within the Public Sector Division.
My day to day involves publishing tenders, gathering bid responses, support in frameworks development (clarification registration, evaluation, onboarding tracker), keeping track of activities and reporting, water suppliers SRM engagement, process mapping and guidance.
I am relatively new to procurement so I like the fact that it could get a bit challenging sometimes. This role allows me to apply my usual coordination and management tasks to a new horizon of projects. The collaboration piece is also attractive as Public Sector is a big Division and I get to work with new colleagues and clients.
Before joining Inspired, my career focused on waste management industry. I just fancied a change, preferably in another industry also related to environment and sustainability.
Many lessons throughout my career but I usually remember something that my first manager told me: “Always double check everything twice, never take anything for granted”.
I am a Spaniard based in Manchester, 2023 was my 5th year anniversary in the UK. I’m passionate about sports, especially squash, football and hiking. Recently got into salsa and I am making decent progress with my dancing skills
In my spare time I am a Lead at Manchester Laces, which is the largest grassroots football club for women and non-binary people in the city.
